Joining an IDS Project
While we are able to link IDS participants
with international workers to develop new projects, those IDS participants
joining existing projects do so with the understanding that the
project goals have already been defined, and we do not expect participants
to try and alter the existing projects. You are there to learn, share and
experience, but not to help project alter its already set goal.
Who can apply
- Individuals who have an interest in
enriching their lives with experience in international
work.
- Individuals who seek to feel and
experience the cultural life at grassroots level.
- Individuals who believe that learning is a
two-way process.
- Individuals can come to us from a variety
of backgrounds and with different goals.
You may be
- a doctor, nurse, or other health
professional interested in learning about sustainable community
development;
- a graduate student in economics, public
health, or development studies planning to do research abroad or some
one who seeks the experience to be involved in work in other
countries;
- a professional with experience in
education, agriculture, or business hoping to gain experience in the
international field.
